If technology really is a ‘metamedium’ as written by Eric Martin, how important is/will be, multidiscipline collaboration be in graphic/visual/audio communication (musicians, directors, programmers, performers etc)? what does this mean for (GD)? It’s interesting to note that all the work represented in this chapter, bar some 3D typographical explorations are all in the printed form—metamedium?

Oh Shit! Shoulda' read this question before answering the previous one.

I see collaboration as hugely important in my own practice anyway. The best way to get a sweet print job is to treat the dude printing the thing as being as important [if not more] as you are.

I guess as design tasks become more and more complex we become more and more like architects, and film directors, and colloboration becomes more and more important to the outcome.

Can collaboration be dangerous too though? Do we get watered down, compromised results, when there's too many ego's involved . . . [I don't neccessarily believe this, but] all the best bands have one person that operates as the creative lead. Everyone's important sure, but it's the purity of that one person's idea getting through that is the key . . .

I guess what I'm saying is that I value collaboration in creative processes as long as MY ideas aren't being compromised by those that are essentially helping ME to make MY work.

. . . that was supposed to be funny guys. Just joking, you know – ha ha . . . ha . . . [body language required].

That seems to fit here too.
