These images I realise, are compositional light studies. The impetuous for taking these shots was the exploration of composition through placement of a camera rather than by framing a composition through the lens of the camera. During the walk I took, it was the light of a scene that became the focus. Through engaging with the light of a scene the physical aspects of the image became secondary, leaving these to be viewed through the final image. By focusing on light, the compositions have embodied the ambience of the time and space that these images where taken in.
