an Isreali guy...

an Isreali guy I met recommended "Pattern Recognition"...I'd given up on William Gibson but I'm into anything that critiques "Roach" marketing...I love the way the hero gets physically sick when she sees too many logo's (my sister once tried to go 40 days without any media input - it's tricky....)

You should have alook at Toby Litt, he is an English auther, in particular, have a look at Sale - Adventures in Capitalism. It's rather English in it's referencing but you may get something out of it. I have a copy if you are interested.

Ditto to Luke, in regards to roach marketing.

Hi Keith,

I emailed Luke but here it is on the blog:

Roach marketing is where you say "hey, I read this book the other day, it's really cool, you'll like it" - the only difference between it and conversation being that you are paid to say it - and whether you believe it or not is not important. Girls in bars chatting up guys and suggesting they try the new RTD vodka and cola....roaches take the roachbait back to the nest and infect all their mates

cheers

Neal
